JUST PICTURES

I was out browsing the pictures that I have on my laptop and thought I'd post a few here. These are very random, and really have not flow or purpose as far are a "blog post" goes. You might get a kick out of some of them. Just in case you can't tell or don't know what the picture is, I will put a brief description in italic above each picture.

Craig's official mission picture. --Wow! I am young in this one.

Craig & Kerrie, Durango to Silverton train. First trip just the two of us had taken in a while!

Taken from outside the caboose. We rode on the upper-class car and had awesome service and views that the other passenger's were unable to enjoy. It was awesome!

The doorman at the Affinia 50 Hotel in the heart of Manhattan, NYC. This was an awesome family vacation ~ although 20k for 10 days was a hefty price, it was worth every dollar!

An oldie but goodie. This was on one of the many fishing trips I took with my family growing up. I think I was even convinced to touch the eye of a fish on this trip.

Craig and Kerrie at Mesa Verde National Park. We stayed right in the park on this trip. It was cool to see the ruins. I hadn't been to Mesa Verde since I was a child with my family.

My toy / transportation. I think Kerrie and I were both a little shocked that we purchased a solar yellow vehicle, since our prior cars were grey, white, blue...etc. A bright car was not in our history, but I think it may be the future.

Look at all of the hair Doug had, and he was only 3 weeks old! No wonder Kerrie had so much heartburn while carrying him in her stomach.

...and then all of the sudden, before I knew it, Doug grew into a very handsome 23 year-old young man!

I absolutely love this picture of Tyson! We are not really cowboy folk at our house, and this picture of Tyson in the car trying to look like a tuff cowpoke is awesome!

Look how handsome Ty is all dressed up for a High School dance.

To think that Tyson was ever this young / small, is amazing.

ONE AFTER ANOTHER

The past couple of weeks have been very challenging for my family and I. Life is always busy, and there seems to be plenty of challenges along the way--"one after another".

A couple of weeks ago Kerrie had an interaction between medications. She was taken to the Emergency room at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. She spent 24 hrs in the ICU, and was transferred to a critical care unit, where she spent the remainder of her time in the hospital. I was finally able to bring her home for care late Friday night. - yea! :0)

I'm not going to go describe the events much right now, since most of you have either already heard about them, or read about them in "update" email I sent during the ordeal. I simply say that we are extremely lucky to still have Kerrie with us---The doctor said it best on a couple occasions when she told us that Kerrie was not days, or hours, or even seconds for that matter...but moments away from death. She also said that we are extremely lucky that Kerrie hadn't already gone to sleep previously, and not awaken.

As a side note (okay, preaching): Please, be extremely careful taking medications, whether they are prescription, over the counter, and/or homeopathic. Do not take anything that all care specialists do not know about, fully understand, and agree with. I also encourage you to, whenever possible, to use as few medical care specialist as possible. I also recommend that you use only 1 pharmacy to fill all of your prescriptions. All parties involved in your care, whether that involvement is big or small, need to be fully aware of what all others may or may not be doing and the medications / supplements they are providing. Remember too, that simply because a treatment is not written on a prescription pad by a fully licensed and qualified medical doctor, doest NOT mean it isn't a drug and will potentially kill you.

Okay, enough of that....

On a more positive note, Tyson had a birthday on February 22nd. He is no longer a teenager (where does the time go!). Tyson also purchased his first firearm. He bought himself a 9 mm pistol, and while I am not a huge fan of guns in my home... Tyson is thrilled and has been to a couple of shooting ranges having a great time! Tyson also is a very responsible young man when it comes to guns, and I trust him with it. --plus, it is locked in a safe when it is in the house. ;0)

Well, I'm going to end now. Life is never ending, be it mortal or immortal, and because of that there will always be a "one after another"
