I am really tired and should be sleeping, so forgive all of my spelling, grammer, and punctuation errors. :-)
It has been a long week. One weekend each month I work on Saturday and Sunday to close the financial books for my employeer. This past weekend was one of those. What this means is that I "get the priv" of working 12 days in a row before having 2 off. It really isn't too bad most of the time, however, last week I was sick, and still needed to work anyway. Because I am so tired and burned out, I took tomorrow off. --even though I'm writting this with my eyes closed at just after midnight, I can sleep in tomorrow.
This week was also a little bit of a stress (not a huge stress because I have suggested it for months), because Kerrie finally told the doctor that she did billing for that she was done and was quiting. With 2 children trying to go to college, and the 3rd a senior in high school, it is an expensive time in our life and this was not really the best time to be unemployeed. Fortunately, we have had a medical transcription business for many years that we haven't personally done much work for over the past several years. This means that Kerrie can pick up transcription to help replace some of the income. She also stopped at a former doctor's office after she quit and talked to them about working their. They said they were excited that she wanted to come back and would call her and let her know when she can start. That was on Monday, and today is Thursday (technically Friday because it is after midnight) and she hasn't heard anything yet. She will follow-up with them tomorrow. She has really enjoyed being home and not having the stresses of working, especially for the type of employeer she was working for. It may be tuff to get her back out of the home and working. I would LOVE to have her stay home but at this point in our lives I just don't see this as a viable option.
As a quick update of on children, and then I'm off to bed;
Doug is having problems with his back. He has been diagnosed with 3 buldged disks in his back, but he continues to work at Fed-Ex lifting heavy boxes. I am trying to encourage him to look for other employement, but he is having a tuff time because it isn't going to be easy for him to replace the amount of money per hour he is making. He is otherwise a great kid and is doing well.
Tyson is doing great at Snow College! His grades came during the holiday's and he got a 3.1 GPA, which I didn't think was too awfully bad for his first semester in college. Tyson loves the small town atmosphere, and enjoyed being in Ephraim where he is close to his great-grandpa's farm, where he can go and shot rabits and other misc varmits We are still fighting with State Farm Insurance over the claim we have against them for his being run over by one of their policy holders last August. We ended up getting a lawyer involved, which I really hated to have to do, but it was necessary. The latest is that they want THEIR nerologist to evaluate Tyson before they will let us know if the agree or disagree with our demands. Hopefully this can be resolved soon and without having to go to trial. We are prepared to go to court if needed, but would rather they accept responsibility and do what is right and fair and pay he money we believe due to Tyson.
Jamie has "senioritis". She is 1/2 way thru ther senior year of high school and I think is ready to be finished. She is a smart little girl, getting a 3.8 on her last report card. A 3.8 is about the norm for Jamie and I am very proud of her. It doesn't come easy and deserves every "A" grade she gets. She is also working more at Target because she has taken abount a half day off for work release. She is a good, hard, and reliable worker. I am very proud of her!
I love all of my family very much, and I am greatful for each one of them. Life is complete with them!
Take care,
Craig
