Today is our 24th wedding anniversary! Kerrie and I said I do July 20th, 24 years ago in the Jordan River Temple. We have had a lot of experiences since that day, some good and some challenging. During the first few of those 24 years we had some amazing children, and have been blessed to be a family.
For our anniversary the kids gave us a weekend away, just Kerrie and I. They reserved and paid for a hotel room in St. George, as well as tickets to see Les Miserables at Tuacahn. They even sent us with money to do some shopping with (we were instructed it was not for anything but to spend on us--no bills, food, etc). We had a great time and could use several more weekends away. :-)
We have the very best children anyone could ever ask for! We love you guys!!!
We seem to have lost the charger for our camera, so the few pictures I was able to take were with my cell phone so you'll have to forgive the poor quality.
When we arrived we checked into the hotel and did some R&R. We slept, read, and even watched a little of a Josh Groban on the laptop.

Nobody can every say that Kerrie can't multi-task. Here she is reading a book and watching the concert! I look a bit tired, but was very happy to be there. :0)
Since we both were a little tired from the drive down we decided to order pizza and have it delivered to the room. I can't remember the place we ordered it from, but it was great!
The next morning we went shopping at the outlet stores--
I got some new shoes, while Kerrie bought some things at the toy store, and had a great time at the kitchen outlet.

That evening we went to the Claim Jumper for dinner. The food was really good; I had salmon and Kerrie had a stake. It was a little more expensive than our usual Sizzler, $50 vs. $25, but well worth it.

After dinner we went to Tuacahn to see Les Miserables. The show was excellent, although a bit long at almost 3-1/2 hrs with the 15 min intermission. It was also very muggy and warm so everyone was drenched in sweat, but the musical was very well worth the minor discomforts.
If you haven't been to Tuacahn before, you definitely need to go! We have seen several shows there and it is without a doubt Broadway quality. The surroundings are gorgeous, set in the desert among huge red rock cliffs.
This is the walkway up to the amphitheater.

This video was shot shortly before the show began. It is terrible quality, but you can still get an idea of the setting. Again, if you haven't been... go!
The next morning we got up and headed back home. When we arrived we were tired from the drive and late night at the play, so Kerrie decided to take a nap. As you can see, Budah definitely missed her!
We had a great time and look forward to the next anniversary... number 25!
