Once each fiscal month (accounting month rather than calendar) the folks that I work, and me, put together and process about 5,000 - 6,000 lines of general entry detail (debits and credits). After the entries have posted we create reports and complete reconciliations of numerous accounts. During the process we work very close with a group of 3 people from our corporate offices in Plano (Dallas), Texas. This all takes place in approximately 5 days, from Wednesday to noon on Sunday, one week a month.
Fortunately, everything was finished and we were able to leave at about 11:30 AM today... and now I'm tired. The bad thing is, I have 5 more days before I can take a day off. Oh well, I suppose it keeps me young, right? ;-)
